Next Meeting
Walker County Hospital District will be moving the scheduled meeting on October 27th to Tuesday November 10th.
Due to a technical glitch our website consultant did not upload our agenda in the legal time frame to our website. Even though the agenda was posted at the courthouse and the office door on time. So we will be in compliance, the October and November meetings will be combined so that we can canvass the votes, swear in the elected Board members and take care of General Board business.
Walker County Indigent Care Program
As of February 24. 2026, The Walker County Hospital District changed the eligibility standards for basic health services provided through the District’s Indigent Care Program from One Hundred percent (100%) of the Federal poverty level to Two Hundred Percent (200%) of the Federal poverty level.
This change will take effect March 1, 2026, and will allow the Indigent Care Program to include more clients who qualify for help with their health care.
